Wireless can't connect with Ubuntu, but PC Linux OS does
Hello,
I've been trying every version of ubuntu i could find to get the wireless to connect with my laptop. The pcmcia card i'm using works great with all the versions of ubuntu but in a different laptop. It's just this crazy IBM that won't connect with this card.
So i tried the suse live cd, and it wouldn't even boot up. Just froze on me. Next i tried pc linux os, and it did boot, and it even connected to my wireless network.
Now i'm trying to use mythbuntu on this laptop (that's what we run on all the myth tv frontends), so is there a way to copy those wireless settings that pc linux os used and put them into mythbuntu?
I just want my wireless working in mythbuntu, and i don't know any other way.
There is a version of PCLinuxOS called MythTV OS 2008. It's runs as a live cd or you can install it and more importantly it works. Seeing as your wireless will work with PCLinuxOS it may just work with MythTV OS. Check it out here: http://www.livedistro.org/release-an.../mythtvos-2008
