wifi networks not visible thru Broadcom BCM43225 802.11b/g/n on Acer 5745G

hi,

I just installed a Suse 11.3 on my new Acer laptop removing all traces of windows.I am able to use internet through my ethernet adapter, but even when i have a wireless router and two other laptops in the house getting wireless connection,my laptop is not displaying any wireless network anyhow. Can somebody please help.
My wifi device is Broadcom Corporation BCM43225 802.11b/g/n.
plus i read some more forums that i need to check some settings though my network manager, i have GNOME desktop environment and i dont know where to find this network manager.

any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

please look here you need the firmware. BCM43225 suse 11 firmware gee I do not think the suse 11.3 could make it any harder to install the firmware. after I read there install page I cant believe some one does not say.
down load none open firmware and install it. I like this how to better more b43 if SUSE was using the newer kernel the open source bcm43_sta open source driver is stable. The ndiswrapper is not very good just my experience and opinion.

Hi,

I really appreciate that you tried to offer a solution, but the link that you have pasted here actually tells me to download the windows driver and then use ndiswrapper to use it with linux.before going ahead with this approach i would like to ask is this the only way possible to get my wifi working. I mean isnt any way that i can install a linux driver and no ndiswrapper. what say.....
:)

the second link is the linux driver firmware and you would have seen directions for suse. this bcm card has been a problem for 5 6 years now you think suse would get with it.
