Wifi card detected but cannot make it work.

HI everyone, my linux detected my wifi card on my laptop, but says that I doesnt have an interface. I runned Kinternet... and everything there was not avaliable for clicking.
Any help? What log should I post for you to have a better view of my problem?

1st place I would start would be to run iwconfig.
you should get something like..

My card isn't configured but the above shows it is at least acknowledged by the kernel,and the cards associated drivers.

if it just says no wireless extesions detected or something along those lines;then you need to install the correct drivers for your wirless card on your system.

i tried a iwconfig and ´command unknown´... what from here?

it may be that iwconfig is not in your path.
try su and then enter your root password.Then re-try iwonfig.
