Which WLAN usb to buy

My mother has gotten a WLAN router. Now she needs a USB WLAN dongle for her notebook since her notebook doesn't have any PCMCIA slots.

I was thinking of getting ASUS 167g. What do U think?

ps. She would be using UBUNTU LINUX and it would be preferable that the USB she would buy would work out of the box or as close to that as possible.

most Dlinks I've tried seem to work out of the box over several DEs have not found any models that give issues yet

It's hard to imagine a notebook having neither PCMCIA slots nor a wireless adapter nor an ethernet port. What model notebook does she have?
