What is a good PCMCIA Wireless card for Mandrake 9?
 

Ive been looking around and nobody seems to know where to get a good wireless card that works with linux. Any suggestions?

orinoco...all of the supported cards are listed at http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net...basically all wireless cards are the same, but i prefer netgear (except for my laptop which of course has an Apple AirPort card, but then again that's not running Linux)

Cisco is the company that currently does the most linux support for their products. The Orinoco stuff is great though(I have a gold card and love it). If you are going to be in a place where you may be transmitting unencrpyted sensitive information over the network find out what is currently deployed and if it supports any work arounds for the various holes in WEP. I have tried the prismII cards as well but they are MUCH harder to setup then the cisco(just put in for most current distros) or the orinoco(just put in for some may have to recompile kernel if you need the extra features).
