Weird Knoppix HD install wireless issue

Ok here's the problem: I run knoppix 3.7 with the 2.6.9 kernel via a LiveCD regularly. When I boot the CD, I can pull the windows ndis driver for my built in wifi card from a usb flash drive where I have it stored. The card is recognized by the system, I configure it, it gets an IP.
Now, I have installed knoppix to the HDD and it no longer works. I have not changed anything at all in the system. Is there something I'm missing?
The ndiswrapper config says "the ndiswrapper module has been loaded but there is no new device. Perhaps ndiswrapper is not working with your driver file"
I know it's not the driver's fault because it works when I boot from CD. It has to be a conflict with something. Do you have any ideas?

Nevermind, I got it working. :) I updated the ndiswrapper program and now it automatically loads on boot. yay!
