using backtrack 4 with rtl8192e wireless card.

hi,
I'm trying to use backtrack 4 with rtl8192e wireless card.
but with my wireless card, i cannot connect to the internet, and
cannot use programs like aircrack.
i heard that i need to get a linux version of my wireless card patched,
but i cannot find anything such as that.
please help!

You know, I think that "connect to the internet" and "use programs like aircrack" - two different tasks.

What exactly do you want, "use programs like aircrack" and then "connect to the internet", or just "connect to the internet"?

Thanks

Did you enable networking with /etc/init.d/networking start. Backtrack does not enable networking as a default. Did you install the correct driver for your wifi card?

well,
to use aircrack, it says that i need a internet connection.
when i type in airmon-ng on the console box, nothing appears and also
i can't use any other commands like airodump-ng etc.
