USB Belkin wireless adapter problem

Okay, so I installed ndiswrapper, the driver and ndiswrapper -l returns:
Code:
rt2500usb driver installed, hardware present
Then I ran ndiswrapper -m. All good there. So then after editing my interfaces file, I tried to run "ifup wlan0" This didn't work. Here is the relevant part of my syslog:
Code:

So of course, my wireless card does not show up in the network window. So any ideas on how to get this to work?

looks like the driver is broken.

yep... that's it.

make sure you've got all the problems on your end taken care of (right kernel source, right build system, etc.), and then talk to the people who wrote the driver.

Actually, for that chipset, I would go with the native linux driver rather than mucking about with ndiswrapper. The RALink people actually take Linux seriously, so the drivers are decent.

If you do want to stick with ndiswrapper, make sure that you're using the latest version and that the Windows driver you're using is the one suggested on their wiki.
