undoing bcm43xx-fwcutter and bcmwl5

hi,

installed feisty and set up the wireless card (broadcom 4319) with fwcutter and bcmwl5. then i remembered that in dapper and edgy i had to use wl_apsta.o

i tried to use fwcutter again with wl_apsta, but no improvement. here are the questions:

1. how can i find out which driver is installed and being used?

2. if it's still bcmwl5, how do i undo this?

thanks,

-steve

I'm not sure if this is it or not, but in my dmesg output, I see this:

bcm43xx: Microcode 0x127

However, it is pretty easy just to delete the old firmware files and re-install from wl_apsta.o. If you installed the firmware (make installfw) then go to /lib/firmware and delete all the files ending in .fw (they usually also start with bcm43xx_). Then install firmware you're positive was cut from wl_apsta.o.
