unable to use lg kg200 with airtel gprs on linux


hi
I am tryng to use my handset LG KG200 which has an airtel GPRS connection to use in Linux , but i am unable to do so. When i type dmesg ... i find that the modem is being sort of detected but then an error 22 comes. I am using Fedora Core 4 . Please help me out .. Should i change my distribution to solve the problem ??
