I guess eth0 has the internet connection and ra0 is where you are trying to connect with other PCs?

Your problem is that BIND won't install. You need BIND if you want to host dhcp services. You could ad-hoc the wireless end and use IP forwarding to share eth0...

Look for howtos concerning setting up an internet gateway.

Me too!!!

Recently tried to install Mandriva 2007. Had same problem with trying to set up internet sharing. Internet works on Linux 2007 machine, but stops working when I set up my LAN; when I delete my LAN, the internet works again.

On my XP machine, it obtains an ip address (while LAN is up on Linux) correctly from the Linux 2007 Machine; but the XP machine won't access the internet.

I had several files during the install state that 'there was an error' and they weren't insalled. Also, just like in mammen_in_linux's case, bind won't install.

At one point while tinkering with the services, everything was up and running, but unfortunately a reboot stopped everything again. When I retraced my actions to get it working, it didn't work.

Any advice on which direction to turn would be greatly appreciated.

Chris.
