Question Trouble connecting with D-link airbus 650 +

I am new to linux. I have downloaded ubuntu 6.06 lt. I ran the setup on a compaq presario 900. Everything seems to work except my d-link 650+ wifi card. With windows it use to blink. The ubunto help said it should of automatically detected the card and any drivers needed. Any help?
