trouble connecting to adhoc wireless windows network with Mandriva
Hi
I've just installed Mandriva on my laptop, Windows was falling apart on there anyway, and although my wireless LAN card can see the wireless network and connect to it, I still can't browse, or use the internet in any way. The wireless network is an adhoc network which shares a broadband connection on my Windows PC, so the laptop connects to the PC and the accesses the internet through that.
Similarly, if I connect directly from the laptop to the broadband modem using a regular cat5 network cable, although it appears to be connected, I still get nothing.
Interestingly, whenever the Mandriva laptop tries connecting to the internet, my PC seems to lose connection. This might just be a coincidence.
What am I doing wrong?
