Trouble configuring / installing wireless card

I have followed many steps found on the internet.
Here's some info first:
I'm using Debian Etch, latest kernel.
I'm trying to install my wireless card / get it to work with debian, using ndiswrapper.
ndiswrapper appears to install ok, but modprobe ndiswrapper returns
FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found.
I think this is probably the main root of my problem.
The installation steps i'm trying to use are at http://www.seungpyo.com/stacksandpil...tu-dapper-606/
I'm a linux noob, so don't be angry if i've made a silly mistake or not gave enough info, just ask me, or tell me, i need help
if i'm going all wrong, please correct me in how i should install this card (Broadcom, driver bcmwl5.inf).

What happens when you do as root;
ndiswrapper -l
ndiswrapper -m
see anything here;
ls /etc/ndiswrapper
If everything looks OK I would start from scratch and install the latest ndiswrapper.
I never had to do this, not sure what it is for;
Code:
sed -e 's/RadioState|1/RadioState|0/' /etc/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5/*.conf
I have always done it like this but without sudo;

I Feel so happy, finally got wireless to work
i did it my own way, after searching the internet thoroughly. It was very simple compared to all the advanced steps i was taking - i just ran bcm43xx_fwcutter with my driver, and it was all set up.
