SuSe 9.1 on laptop(AMD Processor) problem with PRISM3 Wireless card!!!

I have SuSe 9.1 installed on laptop with AMD Athlon processor. I have configured my wireless LAN PRISM3 card (as I can see from my Windows XP, where it is running fine) and I can ping my DHCP server with no problem. Even I can ping other computers on same DHCP server, but I cannot open Internet. But once I boot the same PC (Dual Boot) under Windows XP, everything is fine.
Please advice me what to do? Thanks!!!

Double check the DNS settings and the gateway and/or proxy settings on your linux side. Try to ping the dns server by ip address, that will tell you if the problem is related to DNS name resolution or if you are being blocked at the firewall.

Try this:
Under YOU, pull down the menu and select "installable and installed patches."
under this and near the bottom should be a "Firmware for prism wireless cards" patch, right click on it and select update. or just download it if you've never installed it before. Then run through the YaST network config module. (I'd recommend removing and completely reconfigging it, but that's just me.) Hope that works for you, I had the same problem with my Intel 2100 wireless. Same fix too. Oo oo- I just remembered something relevant! Use Aliases under the network config. I'm assuming since it's a laptop you might use it different places, and that usually translates into different IP schemes.
