suse 9.1 ipw2100 loses connection
 

hi all,

i just installed suse 9.1 on my toshiba m30 laptop, and everything seems to be working well with my wireless card (Centrino) except one thing:

if i close the lid of my laptop and leave it sit for awhile and i come back to use the internet again, i have no internet connection. i still have an IP from the router (assigned via DHCP) and iwconfig and ifconfig appear normal, but i still get nothing.

if i: ifdown eth1
then: ifup eth1

everything comes back instantly and is keen again.

would anyone know what is happening? is there a way i can keep the connection alive?

i don't know that this is necessarily tied to me closing the lid, but it hasn't happened during regular use yet, only when i close the lid. its not a terribly huge problem, but i dont want to have to re-pop the connex every time i close and open the lid.
