Setup of Linksys notebook adapter

I have setup my wireless wrapper and configured it but now I need a little help setting up the connection. I was able to plug into our network and automatically created the etho. Works great.

My question is when I set up a wireless connection for eth1 I get a list of drivers to select from but see nothing pertaining to linksys. Is there a compatible driver for linksys to create a wireless connection?

Using

I assume you are talking about ndiswrapper when you say that you have setup your wireless wrapper. The rest is a little confusing. You say it works great with eth0? So why are you trying to setup eth1? I'm assuming what actually is happening is that you have your wired connection setup no probs with eth0 as is the norm but configuring wireless for eth1 wont work. In that case you need to check the outputs for the ifconfig and iwconfig commands and see what interfaces are setup. Post back if you like but I'm off to bed so wont reply for a bit. Goodnight.

Actually I'm using the Linuxant wrapper. eth0 intel pro 100 card for wired lan. That works great at the school I teach at. The wireless wants to setup on eth1.

iwconfig - no wireless setup for - eth0, lo, sito

eth1 - ieee 802.11-ds essid, " " Nickname. "unknown"

So I assume the eth1 is looking for the wireless card???

Thanks

Yes thats correct. By default a wired connection attaches to eth0 and wireless to eth1 and its probably just best left this way. You just need to set the ssid and wep key if you have encryption and then grab an ip address.
