Setting up Wireless....

Hey,
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 8500 with an integrated Dell TrueMobile 1300 mini-pci card built in. Originally I thought it was coming with a wireless cardbus adapter however I was wrong. I've got RedHat 9 on my system, dual booting w/ XP, and everything else is working great. But during the install or at any other point I never ran into any networking setup. So I tried to go into Network and set up a device. But I can't activate it as my connection. How do I know which adapter (I have an 10/100 ethernet, and a 1394 adapter as well) so how do I know what eth0, eth1, ethx it is? And will my Dell TrueMobile card work?

Thanks,
David

hey..

You have to use NDIS wrapper I believe. You can't get hackign tools to work with wifi, but you CAN Get wifi to work. I have a how-to on my website, www.sirslappy.com, where I installed slackware 10 on my I 8500.

I'm not sure how much help that will be to you. however, my friend is willing to write a how-to on getting those wifi drivers to work and he will post it soon.
