set default network device

What file do you edit so the default connection device is the wireless card. I have Mandrake 10.1 installed and every time I boot I have to go into the GUI and choose wlan0 because it defaults to a wired connection and fails.
Thanks.

You should be able to edit /etc/network/interfaces to match your needs.
And welcome to LQ

Thank you for your welcome but I do not find the directory structure you have listed.
I am using Mandrake 10.1.
I edited modules.conf and put the alias for my wireless card to load first, it worked after a restart but not after a cold boot.
What file in Mandrake to edit?
