seeking advice on a cheap wifi card that is mandrake and debian compatible

I have an old Dell Latitude laptop. I am looking for a cheap wifi card that will work with mandrake and debian on this machine. Also please tell me where I can get the necessary linux driver for the card that you recommend (does it come with the hardware or is it available online).

Please advise.
Thanks,
Simon

pcmcia solution

I don't know if its a pcmcia solution that you are looking for but if it is I just bought a dlink DWL-G630 F/W version 3.0 and it works great with the madwifi drivers. A good list to check out is http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz . anything with an atheros or a Prism2/2.5/3 chipset, or a few others that are listed too should work without too much hassle. Broadcom 43xx chipsets are now supported natively, but it can be quite a challenge to set them up correctly.
