samba caching files - need turned off

I currently have a windows 2003 share that is being accessed by apache to serve websites off of the share.

apache is installed on linux and samba reaches out to the windows share.

if i update a file on the windows box and it has already been accessed before on the linux server it doesnt reach out to the files on the windows share.

any idea how to change this to disable this "feature"?

correct me if i am wrong, but i thought samba was mainly for allowing windows clients to access shares on a linux computer. plus i'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in. it seems like this question could be answered in the standard networking forum or even the software forum. this might be an apache feature, not samba
