I have an Lenovo X121, amd E450 with built-in radeon graphics, using rtl8192ce wireless. The current driver (kernel 3.3.1) is somewhat unstable, leading to occasional loss of connection, and only seldom can I achieve speed over 1Mbit/s.
Recently, I noticed that a new driver is available on the realtek webpage (http://www.realtek.com/downloads/dow...Downloads=true
Anyone has experience with the new driver? Are there any improvements besides of support for newer chipsets? If I simply do "make install" as described in the documentation, it overwrites the rtl81xxxx.ko files in /lib/modules.../.../rtlwifi/ ?
