My home wireless setup works great, but when I attempt to access on other open networks I am not granted an IP address in linux. Windows does give me an IP!
I have Debian Sarge installed, and have been searching for configuration files for several hours and also trying to use kwifimanager, which picks up the network name with no luck. I don't understand why I would not be granted an IP address with dhcp setup.
I apologize for not replying sooner - I needed to set the nameservers from my ISP. When I finally did that, it worked fine, and I didn't get back to this post and tell that I fixed the connection. Thank you for your reply's.
