Ok first off im using SUSE 9.1, I have just purchased a 802.11g Wireless Ethernet Adapter (model F5D7330uk) from belkin to try and give my machine wireless access to the wireless router downstairs (that shares a net connection) The bridge came with a setup disk which allows me to set things like the network name and encryption key etc in windows, once set up the manual says you should be able to plug it into any Ethernet enabled device. I plugged the bridge into a windows machine and set it up to connect to the router using dhcp (i have also tried using static addresses). when the bridge is connected to a windows machine it works fine, I can access the local network and also the Internet, there is also a web interface on the bridge that i can access. However when i plug it into my linux computer the wireless connection dies, I can ping the bride (but nothing else) and i can sometimes connect to the web interface on the bridge, However when i do the only information the bridge can collect about the network is the name and encryption key (both of which i set) and if i try to tell it to connect to that network then it does nothing and then it stops letting me access the web interface (although i can still ping it). Any help would be much appreciated, thanks

I use a belkin 54g pcmcia card on MDK 9.2 to access my adsl modem router (netgear 834gt).
I had to set up ndiswrapper to use the windows drivers
before I got it to work.

I had to search a lot to find a pre-compiled module first (

Not sure if it is applicable to PCI cards but think it is.
