Problem ON Broadcom Corporation BCM94306 802.11g (rev 02) ON Fedora
 

I followed the instruction mentioned here
(www linuxquestions org / hcl / showproduct.php?product=810)
to install this wireless card on my laptop, everything is fine.
and acutally I think that the driver has been installed correctly since I can use
"iwlist wlan0 scan" to find two different networks here with correct ESSID. But I could not use
"iifup wlan0" to activate my wireless card.

my ESSID should be "test" but using iwconfig, I just got:

even I just used
"iwconfig wlan0 channel 11 essid "test" mode Managed" before running "iwconfig"

Apologies for digging up an oldish thread, but can you please tell me where you found the linux drivers for the Broadcom 802.11 device. I have a Dell Precision M60 with an internal Broadcom Corporation BCM94306 802.11g mini-PCI card, but can't seem to find any downloads or docs after quite a bit of googling..

Google for ndiswrapper, thats where you will find the drivers and the instructions on how to use ndiswrapper to install them. There is no native linux drivers for this chipset but you can use ndiswrapper which is an app that allows you to use your windows drivers on linux, the ndiswrapper site has a few links to drivers for your card otherwise you can use your own windows drivers for your card if you have them.

yes, exactly as what I did.

But one thing is that it looks like a 802.11b card NOT 802.11g. I thought that ndiswrapper still does not support 802.11g?
