Plug 'N Play Wireless PC Cards under Fedora Core 5?

I have a Thinkpad A31 dual-booting WinXP and Fedora. Just upgraded from FC4 to FC5. I am a linux novice and have tried without success to get wireless network cards working. I need major help.

Do any wireless cards work as plug 'n play under FC5? Regardless, what are the easiest wireless G cards to configure under FC5? Any advice is much appreciated.

Welcome to LQ!

Quite a number of wireless card manufacturers refuse to support linux, but there are some exceptions like Intel. If you already have a card, post the make, model and chipset (if you know) and maybe we can point you towards a driver.

Wireless can be a royal pain in Linux, but I believe most cards (but not all) can be made to function.
