obtain wireless internet connection on FC5 with Belkin54g WiFi router

Hi All,

I have installed my Belkin 54g wifi router on my WinXP setup on my machine (i dual-boot).

However, I am not sure how to go about setting it up in FC5??

In my setup guide that came with the router it told me to go to 192.18.2.1 in Firefox and follow the instructions etc.....

Any tips on how to go about this? Easy to do?

Is the machine connected wired or wireless to the router?
If wireless what make, model, version is the nic.
Same if info if wired.

In linux the command is /sbin/ifconfig.
Run the command ' /sbin/lspci -v ' and post info related to network cards listed.
Check the HCL section here to see if listed. Located at the top and to the right of this page.
More than likely you will need to use ndiswrapper with the windows inf driver to interface with. Many post related to it. The main goal is to have the kernel-devel rpm matching the current running kernel to compile from source. There are prebuilt rpms for ndiswrapper. You just need to install the one that matches the kernel you are running. Again about a million post on this very subject of ndiswrapper. Many are distro specific. Just use the search tool to search for them.
