Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I have a toshiba satellite a65 (S1062) and have a few problems. I am running red hat enterprise 4 and can't see my pci wireless card. The card is a Dlink dwl-g630. The card and slot both work with windows xp(using it now). I have tried using ndiswrapper and show the driver present but never see the hardware.

1. There had been quite a chenge how pccard slot is managed. I do not know how your distro works. Check if you need pcmcia-cs package, if so if installed. It seems that hotplug is working, although I am not sure working correct. Check kernel options.
2. G630 has several versions and different versions use different chip sets. You need to find out what chipset is used on your card. check ndiswrapper page and atheros site.
