Newbie Needs Help With Wireless Network!!!!

Hello. I'm very very new to linux. I just recently converted my hp laptop from windows xp to lunar linux. My household is completely wireless. My friend helped me out with setting up the lunar linux, but he doesn't know how to set up wireless network. I'm lost when it comes to this stuff, so please i need step by step instructions on how to get wireless access. I installed ndiswrapper, but I didn't do anything else. I have enlightenment on X and thats about it. My laptop has a build in wireless antenna if this helps, but I dont know how to get linux to acknowledge and run it. Please, I really need help!!!!!

First we need to know what kind of wireless card you have.
What model is your laptop?
log in as root and post lspci(this is how to do it)
Open a terminal
Code:

su
<password> enter your root password
lspci

all we need is the info on your card
