I thought setting up wireless adapters was as simple as using ndiswrapper to install or whatever the driver. I was using this video to walk through ndiswrapper, starting at 7:13: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5p59x...eature=related
My problem is as follows: I am able to do everything up to ndiswrapper -m, with the only difference being that I am sudo'ing every command because I'm using the live dvd, but I cannot do 'ifconfig wlan0 up', because "wlan0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device."
I found this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1974496
, which describes the exact same problem I'm experiencing... but what solved his problem is something I cannot do. I'm doing this on the live dvd so cannot reboot. I can boot into mint compatibility mode with the addition of blacklist.b43=yes (http://linuxmint.com/rel_maya_xfce.php
, Known issues -> Boot hangs...), but is it possible to do the apt-get stuff via the compatibility mode startup?
Or is there some other solution?
