The best way I know is to use the 'ndiswrapper' kernel module. It comes with several distros I have tried. I have been successful with my Linksys USB wlan card.

Installation/configuration information can be found on sourceforge. It should have everything you need.

Do "lspci -v" and if it lists an ethernet controller with the Atheros chipset, then please consider using madwifi. It is written for Linux, rather than simply enabling the Windows drivers that come with the card. The docs and a link to download for madwifi are at: http://madwifi.org/wiki/UserDocs

One problem that I found with the madwifi docs was that they weren't emphatic enough about the need to issue an "iwpriv" for an encrypted (WEP, etc) connection. It's in there, but you might miss it.

Netgear WG111 Wireless USB Driver

Hi,

I checked the output for the command "lspci -v" it is displaying as "Intel Pro Ethernet Controller"

when i execute the command "ndiswrapper -l"

it displays "Driver net111v2 present" and nothing gets displayed about the hardware.

When i execute the command "modprobe ndiswrapper" it is displaying

"FATAL: ERROR invalid module format at /lib/modules/2.6.16.15-1.FC5-smp/misc"

Please help me out in configuring this wireless USB adapter.

Regards,
Sanjeev
