well i was hoping for a proper tool ( including a GUI ) so i found something on a friends post called "Wireless Assistant" i just did
Code:

yum install wlassistant
and it installed without a problem. good program really, just dont think i can use it to connect to a wifi source like the wireless scanner in windows.
