ndiswrapper for linksys WMP54G

I just got Slackware9.1 installed today, finally. Now I want to have access to the internet and to do so I have to use my wireless linksys adapter.

I downloaded ndiswrapper and I went through all the steps in the README but, I'm considerably new to linux, I didn't exactly know what to do afterwords. It says run ifconfig, iwconfig, dhclient etc. But then what?

Also if someone could assist in automating the process at boot, I would appreciate it!

Question

Hi,

I think I can try to help you even if I'm not familiar with Slack !
What did you already do ?
What's wrong ?
Try to explain step by step
