I foolishly posted my problem in the wrong forum. Here are the details of the problem (Add another w to it, seems I can't post a URL until I make 5 posts ):

By the way, I have a Broadcom 802.11 b/g in my ze2000t HP notebook, and I'm running the latest version of Kubuntu.

Try sudo modprobe ndiswrapper and see what happens - look at this and see if it helps

I've installed the module and Linux recognizes the wireless card. But I'm not able to find any networks when I scan and I cannot enable the wlan0 network device. I did iwlist wlan0 scan and it returned no results. Then I read that the actual card might not be powered on, and my laptop (HP Pavilion ze2000t) does have a button for turning on Wireless, and it's currently not lit up like it did under Windows when I pushed it. BUt when I push the button, it does not light up. Is it possible that might card might be off? How can I turn it on if it is?

No one knows how to turn the wireless card on or check if it is on?
