NDISWrapper and the circle of Hate

I've been trying for quite awhile now, and this is the closest I've gotten to getting it to work. I've installed the driver, but then there's a problem. When I try to modprobe ndiswrapper in, it fails:

ndiswrapper: unknown symbol wireless_send_event

Any suggestions? I'm running the newest (0.11) version of ndiswrapper on Slackware 10, with a 2.6.9 kernel. Thanks for any help.

hello ryan,

I think that recompilation of wireless tools would be a good place to start. Visit

http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_...nux/Tools.html

for the latest source files. Dont forget to enable the config option CONFIG_NET_RADIO in your kernel setup.
Regards
Chris

Well, that didn't exactly work, thanks for the link though. What I did to get things to work was to recompile wireless-tools (as you said), 'make mrproper' the kernel, and recompile it. I'm not sure why that worked, but it did, thanks for setting me on the right track.
