ndiswrapper


Hello I am very new to wireless in linux i am running mandrake 9.2 can some analyse my proble please?
I get this error when i try to $make install

[josh@localhost ndiswrapper-0.11]$ make install
make -C driver install

well, it says it can't find "cc", perhaps type this first: alias cc='gcc'
You did install gcc right?

I see a $ in your line. Are you trying to install as "user". You have to install as "root".

Before make install you have to enter "su"<enter> then your root password.

Whenever you try to install something from the command line, you need to do it as root, just as Mandrake asks you for the root password before you are allowed to install software via Mandrake Control Centre.

Upgrade to Mandrake 10.1 and save yourself a world of hurt my friend. 10.1 Community is fine.
