ndiswrapper 1.4rc1 is buggy

Hi all,

Just try 1.4rc1. When I modprobe the module, my system freezes completely and I need to make a cold boot for my box.
So be warned not to use 1.4rc1.

Just wonder whether 1.2 is another stable release.

With ndiswrapper, the adage "Your milage may vary" is exceedingly true. While the latest and greatest work for a lot of people, for a signficant number there is a trial and error process to match ndiswrapper version with just the right windows driver. My suggestion is that once you find a combo that works, stick with it.
