I'm trying to get my Belkin wireless card to work on Fedora Core 4. I installed ndiswrapper-1.2, then I copied the .inf file that windows uses which is called bcmwl5.inf. When I tried to install with ndiswrapper it says it's already installed. I used the -l command and it lists three invalid drivers one of them is the one i want and two of them are misstyped. I used the -e command to uninstall them but they still show up on the list as invalid. Does it matter if the other two are installed or not? And why won't it recognize the driver as valid? If someone could shed some light on this problem that would be great. Thanks.

If you have deleted the files but it still claims they are installed, perhaps you could stop the ndiswrapper, and restart it.

typo
I have the same issue but using my iburst UTD modem, i discovered that to install the driver one must type ndiswrapper -i filename.inf BUT to remove the driver one must type ndiswrapper -e filename (NO .inf) now im no better off, but i know now how to remove a driver lol

I had this issue before with my netgear wag511, you have to use the ndis driver
there should be folder on the cd with ndis drivers on it; use that driver ".inf" and not the one you used for your windows install. |
