Have you copied the module over to the proper directory under /lib/modules? Did you then update your module dependencies by running "depmod -a"?

Where would the module initially be to switch over?

Did you build ndiswrapper from source? If you did. then it would be in the source directory and should be called ndiswrapper.ko.

If you installed it via some package manager for your distribution, I don't know. Though I think in that case, it should have put it into the proper kernel directory automatically.

I performed a search find / -iname 'ndiswrapper.ko' and nothing showed up. No module at all...It doesn't make sense to give me a package that doesn't work.

What distribution are you using? Generally the ndiswrapper modules is packaged in source code and must be compiled so it can be loaded by your Linux kernel. I thought there were instructions on this on ndiswrapper wiki page. The process for doing this will depend on your distribution. In debian and its derivatives like ubuntu, et al, it's much easier to use module-assistant to do this. The Catch-22 is that you may need Internet access to get the necessary header files.
