Microsoft MN-520 crashes system

First time/long time

I've finally reached a linux problem that google can't solve. I'm having a problem with my Inspiron 8000 lapop and a Microsof MN-520 wireless card. This problem has exibited itself with two different distributions:

1. Unbuntu 7.04 (no problems with previous versions) If the wireless card in inserted at boot, the system will crash during the boot process. If the card is inserted after the system is booted, there is no problems

2. Fedora 7, new install. System crashes at boot or if the card is inserted after booting, the machine halts immediately.

What logs do I need to look at to find the problem? I don't even know if this is a pcmcia, wireless driver, or kernel problem.

Thanks for your help.
Brandon
