Unhappy Mandrake9.1 driver for Compaq laptop Broadcom wireless

Does anyone know if 802.11g driver exist for Compaq Presario 3000 laptop running Mandrake 9.1?

I have dual boot laptop (XP & Mandrake) on HP/Compaq 3045US laptop with Broadcom 802.11g built-in adapter, but wireless doesn't even turn on when running Mandrake. I have searched Compaq site and Mandrake pages for any support information but none were available for above combination.

I am a newbie toLinux and I would appreciate any help.
