hi, i've converted a PC to work as a router. Now I want to make it work as wireless router . I want to make a ad-hoc network of 3 wireless routers, is it is possible by only adding the wireless interface cards or i have to buy the wireless router adapter/
Now my configuration is like this and it is working as wired router, using the Slackware OS and the quagga software and connecting 2 NIC with each PC. Now i want to make it work as wireless router.
Is it is possible to do by connecting the Wireless NIC only or something else is also required.
Please help.Thank you.
That being said, I do not understand your explanation:

You are leaving out a lot of detail. For example, what are E0 and S0? Are they both wired adapters? Which adapters are connected? How are they connected? Are all the E0s connected to a switch? Or are they ganged together somehow?
The PC will have the provision for both the wired and the wireless network. The communication between two PCs working as router should happen wirelessly and the LAN may be wired. Suppose from the picture the PC1s 192.168.1.1 want to send something to the PC3 192.168.4.1 then it should go through the PC2 wirelessly and the routing should take place as it happen in general wired link.

Well, until you give us the information we need to help you, all I can say is that you cannot do what you are trying to do without VPN software running on PC2. And even then, if everything is connected in ad-hoc networks, you may not be able to get it working.
