Lucent Orinoco PC24E-H-FC Gold with Slackware 10

I've got one of these cards, but it's being stubborn. The modules get loaded, I can set its settings with iwconfig/ifconfig, but for the life of me it won't talk to my wlan. Nothing in dmesg out of the ordinary, the card responds to commands & whatnot, just isn't talking . Any ideas? I set the WEP encryption with the exact same settings that work with my Cisco Aironet 350...

Can they talk w/out encryption? If you can post your iwconfig and ifconfig outputs that'd be good. Cheers

SuSe9.1 Similar Problem

I have dropped down to no encryption.

I have set the SSID using the iwconfig.

I have been trying to use the Wireless Configuration utility (GUI) version and I did get it to obtain an IP via DHCP once but it could not ping any hosts on the network.

I am curious if there is a better Wireless Configuration utility out there that anyone can recommend.

Any help is appreciated.
