Angry Loading Firmware for Mandrivia 2007

I have installed a new kernel and it has the drivers (90% sure). I have put the firmware files in /lib/firmware - I don't know why all my wireless stuff is greyed why my comp says it can't load firmware.

Quote:
[root@localhost ~]# cd /lib/firmware
[root@localhost firmware]# dir
ipw2200-bss.fw ipw2200-ibss.fw ipw2200-sniffer.fw

You should try the packages from http://plf.zarb.org. They're in non-free and you can configure the repository with http://urpmi-addmedia.org. You'll then need to type:

'urpmi ipw2200 firmware'

That will install the proper firmware and you should be able to use the ipw2200 driver.

Thanks! This sounds like a good idea. Can you tell me how to work this urmpi program?

This is what I did and don't know how to get the firmware packages that I need.

Thanks
