linux-wlan problems!
I hate to be a bother, but god, i just don't know what to do....
it should work, but it doesn't. everything is where it should be, i think. it sees prism2_usb and there's an alias in modules.conf but it still can't seem to find wlan0 maybe helpful info: RedHat Linux 7.3(it's pretty much stock, i haven't updated anything) Belkin 802.11b Prism2 USB Wireless card (it's on a super old crappy laptop, but that's inconsequential information :)) modprobe prism2_usb doesn't return anything so modprobe has found it, and it exists... error log: Starting WLAN Devices:wlan0: error fetching interface information: Device not found Error: Device wlan0 does not seem to be present. Make sure you've inserted the appropriate modules or that your modules.conf file contains the appropriate aliase(s). cat: /proc/net/p80211/wlan0/wlandev: No such file or directory wlanctl-ng: No such device dot11PrivacyOptionImplemented mibget failed. wlanctl-ng: No such device error: Autojoin indicated failure! Any help would be greatly appriciated! :newbie: |
