Linksys WUSB54G Ver 4External WiFi Card

Hi there I need help on configuring the external Linksys WUSB54G USB Ver 4 WiFi Card on Fedora core 3. I used the drivers mentioned in http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/HOWTOS. I also saw the documentation on NDIS Wrappers page, downloaded and tried it. It also does not work. The modprobe command just hangs.

Please give me some hints as to how to configure this card. Please help this is very urgent, any information would be useful.

Regards

A Desperate linux user.

What version of ndiswrapper are you using?
I have found that ver. 1.4 doesn't work as well as the older verisons.
I use 1.3rc1, and it's all dandy.

I had trouble with all test releases, so I suggest you try a stable version first.

wusb54g on edubuntu

I am extremely new to Linux, and although I have a decent grasp on how the operating system works, and how to navigate around with the terminal, I still am absolutely lost when it comes to driver issues.

I am running edubuntu vs. 6.10, and would like to get wusb54g ver. 4 running on it.

I really have no idea what I am doing, and I have googled this immensely and I know that there are a lot of sites out there with drivers for it, but I really haven't been able to figure out what I'm supposed to do. I would really appreciate step-by-step instructions on what to do, if anyone has the time or the interest.

Thanks,

-eetnern
