I just bought a LinkSys wireless network, with the WMP54GS (Broadcom) wireless PCI cards (and Speedboost). How do I get them into my Slackware 8.1 kernel 2.6.4 distribution? I want to use this particular distribution of Slackware because Mozilla supports both Hebrew and Russian out of the box. My main interests are reading Hebrew-language and Russian-language Internet magazines.
When I invoke "wireless.ndiswrapper -i wireless.wmp54gs_20050406.exe" I am barfed at with
"couldn't find SourceDisksFiles section - continuing anyway..." and
"couldn't get manufacturer section - installation may be incomplete"
When I do a "wireless.ndiswrapper -l" I get
"wireless.wmp54gs_20050406.exe : invalid driver !"
Help! What is going on? Why is the driver "invalid"?
