Linksys WMP54G Driver

I am new to Linux and I am running it as a dual boot with windows XP. I can't get the wireless card to work because I can't figure out how to get the driver for it. It is a Linksys WMP54G Card, any help would be nice.

I have the same wireless card and the following is a tutorial that I followed closely to get it working. To be honest I'm not sure if there is a native driver for this in linux (That would be the best way to install it) but I went with NDISWRAPPER by default. It was a quick and easy install and I didn't have any problems. Hope this helps.

I gaurantee I am doing something wrong. I went into terminal and typed the first command on that link (tar -zxvf ndiswrapper_0.11.tar.gz) and it came back and said that it did not exist.

Sorry, I am not sure what information you want. Like I said I am new at this and attempting to teach myself with the help of a few books and a computer science background. My OS is RedHat Fedora4 and I am using it as a dual OS along side of XP which I originally installed on my computer. My wireless card is a Linksys WMP54G and is all ready installed on my XP version so I know the card works. I can't seem to find a driver for Fedora to use the wireless card. Let me know if you need any more info because I am not sure what else you would need.

I gave you the link...you should read it.

I am not on that computer because the internet doesn't work on it yet. I am on a laptop next to that computer, I don't wish to type all of the lines out that came up as a result of /sbin/lspci. Which one in particular am I looking for? I'll type a couple that might help...

If you search Google <Linux> with the string "RaLink Ralink RT2500 802.11 Cardbus Reference Card (rev 01)" you will find a nice HOW-TO from this very website for Fedora Core 4.

Do the search, and see if you get this Linux Tutorial/Answer from LQ
