If u use the mandrake hardware configuration, try selecting these drivers and see if they work : Atmel , Pris, and the wlan-ng driver. they should be there and u just need to clikc on them

hmmm... i went into the hardware configurationa nd didnt see the card listed under hardware either under ethernet cards or unknown/other devices devices... would it be easiest to reinstall and try installing those drivers at the config screen on installation.. thanks for the help

its always possible to install those drivers from source, which u can download from their websites

yeah! i got it to work and im posting this via my wireless internet connection!

it was ridiculously easy with madrake 10.. i couldnt get mandrake to recognize my ver 2.5 Linksys WUSB11 card but luckily my sister had ver 2.6 one runnin on hers so i switched them... mandrake picked it up right away

then i went into start(still windows in me)>system>configuration>configure your computer

from there i clicked on the network & internet icon then clicked on new connection icon

selected cable connection > wlan0 and so on and followed the wizard entering the proper information and wwwahla it worked

thanks for all teh help

Now all someone needs to do is tell me how to do it for a 2.1...

:edit: n/m... wow, I did it a bit different, but it still worked... Gotta love Mandrake :)

that makes me feel great!! i'm loading up mandrake tomorrow and have the 2.6 card.... it's my first linux install in 5 years (i'm a former-linux-geek-turned-newbie!) got sucked over to the dark side for convenience sake, but have had one too many blue screens, one too many viruses, one too many spyware scans, one too many porn popups, one too many visits to windowsupdate.....

i hope to have similar luck with my linksys wireless card :)

thanks!
