Linksys USB Wireless Adapter - WUSB54GC
Hello everyone it's been a while since I've even posted on these forms but let me hop right to my question. I'm trying to get my Linksys WUSB54GC working under Ubuntu. If the Wireless adapter I have is not supported under Linux as of right now please tell me one that I can go out and get that is supported under linux.

I'm not sure how much this helps but maybe it will help some.
Code:
│ │[*] Wireless LAN drivers (non-hamradio) & Wireless Extensions │ │ Hope that helps until someone else comes along. Oh, I got theat from the kernel config screen. :D :D :D :D :D |
Hi,
You can find information about hardware here http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/m...dex.php/List#L You can use the win driver with ndiswrapper. or a linux driver if there's one. There's a lot of different card under the (nearly) same name. You may have luck if your wifi-dongle use ralink chipset so you can go with ural driver. look at the driver going with it for windows for more infos. If it's broadcom there is a driver under work but defenitely no easy solution. http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/ I wish you the best. The best is to look up the list before buying something : ( |
Hmmmmmmmm
Well I looked on the list and they have WUSB54G but not WUSB54GC. Oh well, I might have to get a different card. Something that will be detected on install. It's really my fault because I when out and got something not making sure it was supported under Linux. Unless someone got this USB wireless network card working in the past under Linux I'm going to go out and by a new one. No big deal.
